About Good Deed Beads:
The idea to create sacrifice bead bracelets came as a result of popular demand for a wearable version of the
sacrifice beads used as part of a Catholic weight loss program called The Light Weigh. The program is largely
based on the teaching of St. Therese of Lisieux who, as a child, used beads like these to count the little "gifts" of
love she sent up to God each day in the form of small personal sacrifices. After searching everywhere for a
bracelet based on this concept, and finding nothing, I decided to create one. Having a bit of jewelry-making
experience, and first hand knowlege of how this form of prayer can transform one's life (over 60 pounds lost
using the beads with The Light Weigh!), I spent months trying designs, researching materials, testing construction
techniques and getting feedback from friends. The results are the designs you see on this site - with each bracelet
personally handmade by me. I know that you will receive many graces and blessings from using the bracelets, as
